About Councillor Karalus
Councillor Rachel Karalus was elected to Hamilton City Council in the 2025 local elections, beginning her first term as a city councillor.
Councillor Karalus brings a wealth of leadership and governance experience, having served as a CEO, lawyer, and long-time board member across various sectors. Her career has been defined by a commitment to empowering communities and driving outcomes focused growth. She serves as Chair of the Finance and Assurance Committee for the 2025–2028 triennium.
