About Councillor Neha

Councillor Robbie Neha was elected to Hamilton City Council in the 2025 local elections, securing one of two seats in the Maaori ward. This marks his first term in local government. 


Councillor
 Neha brings a rich and varied background to Council, with a career spanning television production and documentary filmmaking. Since 2006, he has worked independently as a filmmaker, following earlier roles as a producer and multi-camera director in the television industry. He also has experience in hospitality management and has contributed to numerous volunteer initiatives over the years.

mai a Councillor Neha i roto o Kirikiriroa. I kuraina ia i roto i te poutūtaki o Mārawātea. No Waikato- Maniapoto ia. Councillor Neha was born and raised in the Fairfield suburb of Kirikiriroa, and is of Waikato-Maniapoto descent
 


As a 
Maaori ward councillor, Councillor Neha is committed to ensuring that the voices of Maaori  and all Hamiltonians  are heard and represented in Council decision-making.
