About Councillor Thomson
Councillor Sarah Thomson is serving her third term on Hamilton City Council, having first been elected in 2019. In the 2025–2028 triennium, she will serve as Chair of the City Delivery Committee.
Councillor Thomson brings a legal background to her role, having worked as a commercial lawyer before transitioning into community law. Her governance experience includes previously chairing the Strategic Growth and District Plan Committee, where she played a role in shaping Hamilton’s long-term development strategy.
She is dedicated to building a strong and sustainable future for Hamilton.
