Loading Zones

Loading zones are a part of the roadway, typically kerbside spaces, signposted and reserved for loading and unloading goods or passengers.

They are available in commercial and industrial areas throughout Hamilton. You can use them for the time limit displayed if you are picking up or dropping off something in relation to a nearby businesses.

Vehicles using goods only loading zones need to be registered as a goods vehicle, visit the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi’s webpage for further information.

Extended use parking permits

In some instances, you can request an extended use parking permit to park beyond standard restrictions in the central city. For example, when you need to park your service vehicle close to a building renovation work site for an extended time.
