Claudelands Park is an open space with a large, fun playground that’s not to be missed.
The playground includes a flying fox, climbing net and play areas for big and small kids, set within 14 hectares of flat open space enclosed by parkland trees. The equipment and toilets are disability-friendly too.
The park also borders Jubilee Bush - a kahikatea-forest remnant with internal boardwalks. Jubilee Bush gives visitors a look at what Hamilton would have looked like before human settlement.
Claudelands Park is most commonly booked for large-scale outdoor events due to the size of the flat, green space.
It has an off-leash area for dogs next to Claudelands Events Centre.
