Innes Common has amazing views across Hamilton Lake. The park has a colourful playground with swings, a parkour training area - the first of its kind in Hamilton - barbeques, a basketball half-court, and toilets.
There are also four cricket pitches, a sports field and two hockey turfs. Innes Common Reserve (about 24 hectares, to the east and west of Lake Domain Drive) is primarily used for three sports – cricket, hockey, and football.
The reserve acts as a venue for organised community events, including the annual Balloons Over Waikato event, and is the take-off point for the hot air balloons.
Innes Common also has a designated off-leash area for dogs.
