How can I get involved in this meeting?
At the beginning of each Council or committee meeting, up to 30 minutes is available for the public (individuals or groups) to present on a matter that is on the meeting’s agenda. Each individual or group is allowed up to five minutes to speak.
Speakers are listed on a first come, first served basis, and as many speakers as possible will be heard within the allocated 30 minutes.

Note: Your name, a summary of what you say and anything you distribute at the meeting will be included in the minutes and made available online, as well as livestreamed and included on our YouTube channel.

I'd like to learn more about this committee
Three independent Directors have been appointed to govern IAWAI - Flowing Waters. The Directors are Kevin Lavery, Tim Manukau (Tainui Waka) and Dave Chambers.
Kevin Lavery has been appointed as the Executive Chair and will act as a chief executive of IAWAI - Flowing Waters until a chief executive is appointed. That is unlikely to be until late-2025.

If you’d like to speak at a meeting, please email us at info@iawai.co.nz with:
- Your name
- A short summary of the information to be presented.
Public Forum will be held for a maximum of 30 min.
- If you are speaking, you will have up to 10 minutes to present your views (adjusted for the number of speakers).
- We’ll confirm your presentation time before the meeting.
- The board and management won’t respond during the meeting, but you’ll receive a written reply within 7 days.
- You won’t be able to take part in any board discussions or speak on agenda items.
If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to send through questions for the board by email.
If you are attending or presenting a meeting, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Please don’t interrupt board discussions.
- No filming or recording is allowed unless you’ve received approval in advance – please email info@iawai.co.nz
